Administrative Assistant  -  Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

1.        Must have proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and
   Excel.

2.        Must possess knowledge of office procedures and machines.

3.         Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational
    skills.

4.        Must present self in a courteous and professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.        Answer telephone, direct calls.

2.        Greet and direct visitors, salespeople, etc.

3.        Assist with Personnel/Human Resource responsibilities e.g. screen
   applicants, maintain and update personnel files, create tickler files, etc.

4.        Maintain and update children’s files/charts.

5.        Create and maintain inventory lists for office supplies, janitorial
   supplies, etc.

6.        Create, organize and maintain forms, filing cabinets.

7.        Type letters, medical documents, meeting minutes etc.

8.        Keep bulletin board current.

9.        Sort, distribute, send mail.

10.      Complete other duties as assigned by Director.
